Knights

A kingdom needs knights to defend it, to attack enemy kingdoms and to generate taxes.  Any single ruler may have a maximum of 12 knights and a married ruler can have a maximum of 24.

/knight Playername - This command sends an invitation to the player you want to knight, which they have to click on to complete the knighting.  This command is only available to people who rule a kingdom.

The spouse of a knight gets the equivilant title and nationality of the kingdom but does not count towards the number of knights and does not get the benefits of being a knight of the kingdom UNLESS the ruler uses the /knight command on them also OR they were a knight of that kingdom before the marriage.

Knights below the level of Duke/Duchess cannot settle a kingdom, in order to settle they must first use the /dk command to remove themselves from the service of a kingdom.

Knight Level Limits

In order that high level players do not knight very low level characters, giving the knight a very big advantage, each level of knight has it's own level limit, once a player has been knighted they are free to level as much or as little as they like and will not be removed because of it. In addition to the lower level limit there is also a higher level limit, no knight may be made that is equal to or higher than the ruler.

Earl Countess Countess 55% of the ruler's level
