Moderator Duties

Chat Moderator Duties

The duties of a chat mod are to make sure other players abide by the rules and punish those who do not.  They are also expected to help players who have problems in-game.

Roleplay Moderator Duties

An RP mod's main duties are to moderate the roleplay channel, assist and advise RPers and perform marriages.  When no other moderators are present they should assume the role of a chat mod when one is required.

• Moderating - An RP mod's responsibilities in the roleplay channel are similar to those of a chat mod in the chat channel.  They should curb inappropriate behaviour and language and ensure the roleplay channel is used for it's intended purpose.
• Marriages - It is also the responsibility of an RP mod to ensure that potential spouses are not in any way related in-game and that both parties consent before performing the marriage.

Moderator Rules

1. All moderators must read the game rules, manual and terms and conditions frequently to keep up with updates.
2. Moderators must not misuse their abilities.  It is the duty of any mod who sees another abuse their position to report it to a Demi-God or Deity.
3. Moderator is a job, it is not a bonus; remember you are a mod first then a player.  Mods are expected to be 'on duty' all the time they are online, this does not mean you can't play the game just that you should not expect to be number one.  A mod that is in the top 5 is probably not doing their job properly.
4. For minor offences such as overuse of caps, begging, use of non-English languages or minor insults such as 'You are gay' or 'You all suck' it is expected that the rule breaker be warned at least once before being muted.
5. Being a mod is a privilege, not a right and no mod is permanent.  All mods are reviewed frequently, moderators found slacking, abusing their powers or being inactive for long periods of time without giving notice will be removed.  If you are removed for inactivity email an admin with a reason for your inactivity and it is likely you will be reinstated.
6. RP mods (along with Demi-Gods and Deities) must occasionally let their presence be known, RP mods may not 'hide in emotes' while in regular chat.
