Illegal Names

For moderation and game feature purposes a number of things are not allowed in Elysarian Kingdoms' character names, these include:

  • Anything that is against the Rules.
  • Names less than 3 letters long (including spaces).
  • 'leet'
  • Bizarre or incorrect capitalisation.
  • All symbols, this includes numbers and anything that is not a letter or a space.
  • Multiple spaces.
  • Leading or trailing spaces (spaces at the beginning or end of the name).
  • Titles, this includes ALL titles, including, but not limited to:

Male Title

Female Title

God Goddess
Emperor Empress
King Queen
Prince Princess
Duke Duchess
Marquess Marchioness
Earl Countess
Viscount Viscountess
Baron Baroness
Sir Dame
Mr/Master Mrs/Miss/Mistress
Lord Lady
Knight

The symbols rule (particularly the numbers bit) is because the game is primarily a roleplaying game, it is therefore preferred that you have a name that can be pronounced and, preferably, also sound like a name.

The spaces rules is because chat auto-formats the names.

The titles rule is because certain titles will be awarded as part of the game. Titles not used by the game are still against the rules because you don't want to end up being 'Knight Bishop Fred' etc.

The capitalisation and 'leet' rules are simply because the admins don't like it.

In the unlikely event that you get around the rules to acquire an inappropriate name the game administrators reserve the right to change an offending name without warning. People receiving significant name changes (ones that involve more than a change of capitalisation) will be informed via the email address used to create the character.

Changing Your Name

The Elysarian Kingdoms administration do not approve of name changes but there is currently one circumstance in which it will be acceptable, that being when the person requesting the name change is experiencing severe harassment either irl, online or both (this does NOT cover people experiencing chain-killing or the like).  The admins reserve the right to decide when a case is severe enough to deserve a name change.
